Whitney here...just thought I'd let you know a bit more on how we plan to go about things.
We are going to try artificial insemination first seeing as it is the cheapest and we have no insurance. That costs about $300 for the consultation appointment and around $400 for each time you try...if all goes well and I get have a midwife instead of going to the hospital we are looking at about $5,000-$6,000 total. [Might I add, a definitely attainable goal!]
If that doesn't work we will maybe try another man's semen which you must purchase ( haven't looked into prices on that yet )
Then after that, we will try in vitro which is generally between $20,000-$50,000 just to get pregnant....hopefully it won't come to that...:)
Anyway, you know what I want for christmas? That first consultation visit....someone tell Santa!
